The Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Guidelines and Policies advance Chicago’s efforts to create a sustainable, livable city. The document establishes a citywide approach for integrating environmental performance goals into infrastructure design, as well as a five-year implementation plan for all CDOT projects. The guidelines set goals for eight key environmental categories, explain expliciit sustainability practices, and illustrate how different strategies can be woven together to complement one another.
